How to Download Pinterest Videos and Idea Pins in 720p

Pinterest is full of short recipe videos, DIY tutorials, workout routines and design inspiration. You can save a pin to a board, but that only bookmarks it. There's no button to download a video pin to your device, and if the creator removes it, it's gone from your board too.

Step by step: Pinterest video to MP4

1. 1On Pinterest, open the pin and tap Share → Copy link. Long pinterest.com/pin/… links and short pin.it/… links both work.
2. 2Go to tools.zenwebx.com/pinterest-video-downloader and paste the link.
3. 3Click Fetch. The pin title, creator and preview appear.
4. 4Click Get next to MP4, MP3 or the image.
5. 5Click Download to save the file.

Why Idea Pins are tricky

Pinterest delivers most newer videos — especially Idea Pins (formerly Story Pins) — with HLS streaming, which splits a video into dozens of tiny segments and a playlist file. Many downloaders hand you that playlist (an .m3u8 file) which won't play on its own. ZenTools finds the full progressive MP4 version of the same video instead, so you get one normal file.

What quality to expect

Saving original-size images

For image pins, the tool downloads the original file the creator uploaded, not the smaller version Pinterest shows in the grid. That makes a real difference for printables, wallpapers and mood boards.

Using pins responsibly

Pins belong to the people who made them. Saving recipes, tutorials and inspiration for personal use is what Pinterest is for. If you want to share or reuse a video commercially, ask the creator first and credit them.
